No power 9 ...The Power 9 is vintage only, this is Legacy, the Power 9 is banhammered in Legacy.... it's still an eternal format though.

It looks like rules have changed. The countries that allow all entries without being qualified get only one player invited to Worlds, that's the National Champ....so there'll be no UAE team even if we get a Nationals.
For example... this is off the Indonesia page
Bolded for relevence

When Shadowmoor comes online I'll expect a change .. until then the main deck in the 8 man queues is still the Fae.. which is a walkover for Dstorm, they have to get they're god draw meanwhile I just sit and wait... Merfolk are only an issue if the pack Burrenton Forge Tender in the board which seems to becoming more popular which is a shame because it ruins my Sulferous Blast. Reveilark is a flat out race. Elves juts never seems to give me any grief on the other hand i'm not seeing that much of it anymore.
We'll see...i'll keep a record of what i see in the queues and my record if you like to give us a all a better reflection of the trends.

The deck needs 9 storage lands..so i decided a green one was best...depending on what i see in the queues i sometimes sideboard Krosan Grip for Bitter Blossoms etc.. Not boarding it at the moment but I juts leave the mana base as is... to be honest i'm thinking of dropping it and going back to a basic mountain...we'll se what the queues hold this weekend. Lots of Reveilark is my bet

LOL... bet this dude was not happy... The first Lotus is on 1 counter, he makes me discard the Grapeshot... then he tries to Runesnag the Lotus when it comes in..but i pay the 2... i then wait for the next 2 turns so i will go off with infi mana and storm count to make sure of the job...he concedes instead because he fears my shiny Dragons.

I have a deck or 2 to lend...
Friday though...my wife will go spare, she hopes I lose the first 2 rounds tomorrow because she knows i'll drop.
Man, another Friday will take some serious buttering up..
..anyway, i'll see what it takes to make a Resin Trophy.

As you can see below, the fact that they can have a Regionals as small as 9-16 players means surely we must qualify in some way, we have judges now, we have a great player base ... they really have no excuse now, we should have a regionals that leads up to a nationals then to Worlds. Taken from the Australia Regionals a few weeks ago.... In order to play in a specific country’s Regional, and/or National Championship during the 2008 season, a player must be either: a citizen of that country, or have been a resident of that country since January 1, 2008 All Universal Tournament Rules and Magic: the Gathering Floor Rules are in effect for this event unless specifically overruled by information in this Format Document Format Standard-constructed format Deck lists are required Tournament Length 50 minutes per round Number of Swiss rounds based on attendance according to the following chart: Number of Players | Number of Rounds | 9-16 | 4 | 17 - 32 | 5 | 33 - 64 | 6 | 65 -128 | 7 | 129 - 226 | 8 |

Regionals is in 2 weeks. We don't have regionals I propose we change Saturday the 14th of June from Free Play to a Standard event (which is what regionals is) and have our regionals regardless. We then send our event into Wizarsd and say .."Hey, we know we're not officially a region.. but here's our results anyway" We can put a few extra dhs in for the event for a larger prize pool with a few spare dhs going towards a cheap trophy or something*,.... and wow, we'd have a regional champ. *Something simple like imbedding an old card into a piece of resin then mounting it and getting it engraved....cheapo. www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=events/magic/regionals
