Zak is officially the number 1 Limited player in Dubai, and number 1 composite ACTIVE player in Dubai. Please pass your "glenn-hate" to him. LOL.

Aye, seconded Bop. we just love to gun for both of you as our No. 1 & 2 players and just for the record I get a real sense of well being from stuffing Oscar as well.
Without you guys setting the benchmark for the rest of us to aim for our playing wouldn't ever improve.
Keep it up as we are still after you ;D

winning the tourney is just half the feeling, can't say you'd really win in that tourney if you didn't beat zak'n glen. if you'd ask me if i loose a tourney but managed to beat zak and glenn in the process, its as good as win. ;D

May 25 Standard Tourney. Glenn - Merfolk (minus cryptic comand, huhuhu) JayAr - Rock/discard (minus Tarmagoyf) Derek - Rock (with them beautiful lands) Paul - Green/White Aggro Dave - Dragonstorm (surprise surprise) Tammy - Faeries Trevor - Faeries too Zak - Pickles/Control Rogue Since I don't have a detailed report, I'll just mention some of the highlights: Against Paul (Lost 1-2) - Third round, got aggro'd because I didn't counter his early creatures with my cursecatchers.... N00b! Didn't get to draw the Teferi's Moats. Against Tammy (Lost 1-2) - N00b me once again. Second round, boarded in Teferi and his Moats. What good are the moats against Faeries?!? And me forgetting that once Teferi is in play, all my creatures can be casted at INSTANT speed. Against Derek (Won 2-1) - Awesome lands by derek. Turn 1, Reflecting Pool. Turn 2, Wooded Bastion. Turn 3, Wooded Bastion. Turn 4, Reflecting Pool. All he needed was a black source for d**nation. Against JayR (Lost 0-2) - Pure control. Got him down to low life, but couldn't push for the final damage. Frustrating... Now realized how imporatant Cryptic Command is (tapping all opponent's creatures for the final damage), and my sideboard was crap. Remove Soul was useless, and I should have had some unsummons. Should have played my mono-red. Sigh Sigh Sigh.

winning is nothing, making an opponent suffer is something else losing a winnable situation is nothing, but winning an unwinnable situation is something. winning without improving is nothing, but losing with improvement is something better. giving in for a cause is something, but giving up for but a loss is crap, i say. so i guess losing is okay, for you only truly win when you learn how to admit defeat. A SHOUT OUT TO THOSE WHO CAME DOWN TO SATURDAYS STANDARD GAME< IT WAS OWESOME< HOPE TO DO IT ONCE MORE BEFORE OUR WITS EXPIRE

I was not delivered into this world in defeat, nor does failure course in my veins. I am not a sheep waiting to be prodded by my shepherd. I am a lion and I refuse to talk, to walk, to sleep with the sheep. I will hear not those who weep & complain, for their disease is contagious. Let them join the sheep. The slaughterhouse of failure is not my destiny. I will persist until I succeed.
Is it possible to start the Saturday Standard at around 2pm or 3pm, so that we can finish earlier?

I do'nt know about anyone else but I work on Saturday and earliest I could come is 5.30pm, however don't let that stop you guys starting without me if you can get 8 players together.
Alternatively anyone in favour of shifting the game to Friday?
