Count me in y'all. I've got around 3 decks in mind that I'm not sure of what to use at Regionals...

I was sorta arguing with my friend if a standard deck can have 9th edition cards or cards from the much older blocks (older than time spiral) so what blocks are allowed in a standard now? confused here For a standard deck, you must have cards from 10th ed, Coldsnap, Time Spiral block, Lorwyn block. You can still use your 9th ed cards provided they appeared on the later sets.

Hmm.. I participated the UAE Nationals sometime in 2002, and the total player count was 15. Top 3 were eligable for a spot at Worlds Australia... and Top 8 were eligible for Euro Invitational. www.sargona.ru/games/mtg/ec/InvEuro.pdfI'm not sure the rules have changed in terms of Nationals/Regionals.

Just great... another way to put a rare card in the $50-$100 bracket.
Possible mythic rare:
Card name: Glenn Caratao, Master of Care Bears Casting cost: 2GWU Type: legendary creature Text: If Glenn Caratao, Master of Care Bears is in play, all creatures loses all creature type, then gains Care Bear creature type. All Care bears gains "Whenever you deal damage to Glenn Caratao (real awesome MoFo player), damage is redirected to target opponent of Glenn Caratao's choice. Glenn Caratao, Master of Care Bears is indestructable, and cannot be targeted by a spell your opponent controls. Flavor text: Stare... Stare... Stare!!!!!! You like that doncha?!

Do you still have Unhinged packs? how about an iron man match?? player vs player, loser's out, enter new opponent... player who wins 4 consecutive wins.... unhinged for price?

Anybody up for some unhinged draft? or masters? What do you think this, a PTQ or something? ;D Well ok then we'll be having the Gateway League active and of course it will be the last opportunity to get those TSP league games concluded. Venue is same as always; the Rydges Hotel and as it will be just after lunch time we can always move some of the games out to the Pool side to catch some rays and sip a few beverages as we play. Re the Unhinged packs I think I've got half a box left so first come first served - pre orders will be taken.

I was not delivered into this world in defeat, nor does failure course in my veins. I am not a sheep waiting to be prodded by my shepherd. I am a lion and I refuse to talk, to walk, to sleep with the sheep. I will hear not those who weep & complain, for their disease is contagious. Let them join the sheep. The slaughterhouse of failure is not my destiny. I will persist until I succeed.
Is it possible to start the Saturday Standard at around 2pm or 3pm, so that we can finish earlier?

May 25 Standard Tourney. Glenn - Merfolk (minus cryptic comand, huhuhu) JayAr - Rock/discard (minus Tarmagoyf) Derek - Rock (with them beautiful lands) Paul - Green/White Aggro Dave - Dragonstorm (surprise surprise) Tammy - Faeries Trevor - Faeries too Zak - Pickles/Control Rogue Since I don't have a detailed report, I'll just mention some of the highlights: Against Paul (Lost 1-2) - Third round, got aggro'd because I didn't counter his early creatures with my cursecatchers.... N00b! Didn't get to draw the Teferi's Moats. Against Tammy (Lost 1-2) - N00b me once again. Second round, boarded in Teferi and his Moats. What good are the moats against Faeries?!? And me forgetting that once Teferi is in play, all my creatures can be casted at INSTANT speed. Against Derek (Won 2-1) - Awesome lands by derek. Turn 1, Reflecting Pool. Turn 2, Wooded Bastion. Turn 3, Wooded Bastion. Turn 4, Reflecting Pool. All he needed was a black source for d**nation. Against JayR (Lost 0-2) - Pure control. Got him down to low life, but couldn't push for the final damage. Frustrating... Now realized how imporatant Cryptic Command is (tapping all opponent's creatures for the final damage), and my sideboard was crap. Remove Soul was useless, and I should have had some unsummons. Should have played my mono-red. Sigh Sigh Sigh.

Has anybody ever thought of the Finks combo'd with Juniper? If you have a sacrifice outlet like nantuko husk, voila... you get a very very large (infinity creatures) and you get infinite life. The fact that Juniper and Finks are on the same color makes it viable, methinks.
